Values may be defined as long-term, passionate, and distinctive basic convictions. They are simply the unchangeable guiding basic beliefs of a person or a business. Values are deeply held ideas, goals, and assumptions that have a direct influence on corporate attitudes and behaviours (Manohar & Pandit, 2014). In business, the value statement is part of the strategic foundation, reflecting the values and goals to which a company is sincerely devoted. My business's values statement includes four essential values. They include honesty, teamwork, sincerity, respect, and client focus. Each value is detailed below.
Integrity
Integrity is the capacity to behave honourably both in public and privately, and to follow through on commitments made to others (Manohar & Pandit, 2014). Having an ethical culture that supports the entire organisational environment is what it means to have integrity. Since integrity is fundamental to my company, I want every employee to accept responsibility for their actions, be open and honest about their shortcomings, and stay transparent. Therefore, in my view, integrity in business goes beyond acting morally when no one is looking; rather, it involves acting honourably and steadfastly while upholding strict moral standards because it is the right thing to do, not because doing so will bring about the desired results.
Collaboration
In my organization collaboration is vital because it helps everyone in the organization understand where and how they fit in the organization and the larger impact of their contributions to the organization (Carlson, 2015). Through collaboration employees can create a network in the workplace that enables them to make their concerns known, share ideas and assist others to accomplish their tasks. As a result, collaboration leads to unlocking the potential of every employee, creativity, and knowledge. Therefore, it creates value, promotes innovation, and improves productivity.
Authenticity
Loyalty is encouraged in an organisation by authenticity. Authenticity is one of the main principles of my company. Authenticity fosters an environment of open communication and trust, which improves performance (Manohar & Pandit, 2014). It also fosters more loyalty among staff members towards management and one another.This is because it keeps them interested in and involved in one another, which improves the workplace culture and reduces employee turnover.
Respect
Customer-Oriented
One of my company's basic values is customer centricity, which entails prioritising the needs of our customers. This is a crucial value for the company as it facilitates the creation of enduring relationships and a great customer experience (Carlson, 2015).
In conclusion, my business's operations are guided by its five fundamental values. Each worker is aware of the principles that drive our daily operations. Respecting these principles has led to important accomplishments for the company.
